Career Opportunity – IEP Support Officer

The Support Officer, IEP is primarily responsible for the processing of Indigenous Entrepreneurship Program (IEP) applications, claims, payments, legal documents, and related reporting information from assigned regions and apply approved policies and procedures related to the Aboriginal Business Financing Program (ABFP), Aboriginal Capacity Development Program (ACDP), Aboriginal Development Lending Assistance (ADLA), and Interest Rate Buy-Down (IRB). This role will provide client services to Indigenous Financial Institutions (IFIs) within assigned regions and maintain frequent communications by providing support and guidance to assigned members of the IFI network on current IEP policies and procedures, along with any other support IFIs may require. NACCA Appoints Dawn Madahbee Leach As First Nations Procurement Authority Board Representative

OTTAWA, ON – The First Nations Procurement Authority (FNPA) has appointed Dawn Madahbee Leach, a proud member of Aundeck Omni Kaning First Nation on Manitoulin Island, as NACCA’s new representative on its Board. Dawn Madahbee Leach is a graduate of the University of Waterloo’s Economic Developers Program and holds a degree in Political Science with a minor in Law from Laurentian University. She currently serves as Chairperson of the National Indigenous Economic Development Board and has led Waubetek Business Development Corporation, an Indigenous Financial Institution that has invested over $170 million in more than 4,000 Indigenous startups and expansions throughout North-Eastern Ontario. Dawn also brings extensive Board Governance experience to this position.

2026 Frontline Worker’s Conference – Event Management RFP

In 2017, NACCA initiated the Frontline Workers Conference (FLWC) with a focus to address identified gaps in capacity and strengthen the network.   

NACCA is seeking qualified and experienced Event Management professionals and invite them to submit proposals for ‘FLWC 2026’. 

The selected contractor will manage all aspects of planning and delivering the FLWC 2026, a 3-day event including cultural activities and post-event activities. Responsibilities include: 

  • Full event planning andlogisticscoordination including excursions 
  • Program development in collaboration with NACCA’s IEP Team
  • Speaker engagement and management
  • On-siteDelegate registration management 
  • Budget& sub-contractormanagement 
  • On-site event delivery
  • Post-event reporting and evaluation

The event will take place at the Membertou Trade & Convention Centre in the Mi’kmaq community located on Unama’ki – Cape Breton Island.

IEP Releases RFP for Report Writing and Editing Contractor

The National Aboriginal Capital Corporations Association (NACCA), Indigenous Entrepreneurship Program (IEP), is seeking a contractor to write and edit an Indigenous Finance Institution’s (IFI) Officer Toolkit.

The IEP team has been developing an Officer Toolkit for Business Development Officers across the IFI network. This resource will include templates for letters, memos, assessments, and administrative checklists related to the Business Financing Program.

These ready-to-use templates will streamline administrative tasks for IFIs, while still allowing each organization to customize and brand them as their own. This initiative supports NACCA’s ongoing advocacy for the IFI network, strengthens capacity for Business Development Officers, and helps simplify day-to-day processes.

Submissions close Friday, December 12, 2025 at 8pm EST
